Local Note
A possible recruitment tool, with scenes filmed during both 1939 and 1940 – on the downtown campus and beyond – the film is in color and silent, and the title sequences introducing each scene are written in white lettering on a blue background. Presented as the full narrative arc of student experience, the film begins with arriving freshmen, progresses to daily routines and classroom settings, is interspersed with extracurricular activities, and ends with graduation ceremonies in College Hall.
