Nancy Jane Wiedenman, Class of 1958, was a Business Administration major from Schenectady, NY, who was also interested in drama – acting in a few productions, serving on the Executive Council of Omnibus and serving as House Manager of the Little Theatre during her senior year. Upon graduation, Nancy immediately went to work at Skidmore as an assistant in Public Relations, and during her subsequent 33 years at the College, she worked in a variety of positions, including Alumni Affairs, Fundraising and Events Planning. Post-retirement, she volunteered for Skidmore and her class, receiving an Outstanding Service Award in 1998 for her dedication. [An oral history of Nancy’s time as both a student and employee of Skidmore College can be found
here.] Her yearbook entry reads: Wiedie ... a quart size personality in a pint size package . . . “Hey, you guys!” . . . kilts and a Mackintosh . . . from ties to sweaters, always knitting . . . party partiality . . . constant generosity and a bounce of natural jubilance.
