Local Note
Ruth Anna Prentiss, Class of 1917, was a Fine Arts major from Brattleboro, VT, who completed a two-year Applied Art course. She served as an assistant art editor for the Eromdiks, was a member of the Acanthus Club (see 1916 Eromdiks, p.73 for a description) for two years and her artwork also appears in both the 1917 and 1918 Eromdiks (pp.27, 67, 74, 86, 98 and p.3 respectively). Her yearbook entry reads: “When the roll is called you’ll hear a high-pitched ‘Heah’ and that’s Ruthie. She’s the star of the art department but not conceited. Always happy and gay, she never lets anyone get blue and is ever ready to do a good turn to any one. Always in for a good time. Assistant to President of B. E. A. (Big Eaters Association).”
