N1  - A multiple-witnessed document detailing Patrick Auld's leasing (sasine) of land at Torbane Hill, Mid Lothian (formerly Stirlingshire), Scotland to John Bell and his daughter Agnes Bell on September 4, 1698.  Witnesses included James Bryce of Cutle (Cuthill), John Beugo of Auchenhard (Auchinhard), and James Dunlop of Foulshiels.  John Mershell of Stannieburn (Stonyburn) is Baillie.<br>
N1  - The document has a Latin summary (bottom right hand corner, recto). On the verso, there is a 4-line note that the sasine was recorded in an Edinburgh register in October 1698 by Sir John Foulis, clerk and keeper of the registry.
