Helen Filene Ladd, 1899-1983, was one of Skidmore’s most influential and beloved alumna. She was a member of class of 1922, which was the first 4 year class at Skidmore, and went on with her husband George Ladd to become a major donor to Skidmore throughout the rest of her life. She served thirty-six years on the Board of Trustees and represented the Alumnae Association as well as serving as their Secretary.
