Peter Sipperly came to Skidmore in 1972 and was the Associate Dean of Student Affairs during the time of the Wilmarth dorm fire (with a student fatality), the introduction of coeducation, and when many students were being housed in local hotels as the college transitioned to its current campus from downtown. He left Skidmore in 1979.
