Description
Unique artist's book, on hand-made various Japanese papers, collaged, signed by the artist/author. Images of dancing bears, with centerfold pop-up, and bound, accordion-style, by the artist. Housed in a portfolio case of bronze Japanese paper over card stock lined with gold Japanese paper. The text "Despite the / crooked ones / trying to stop them, / the bears continue to dance" is in reference to wildlife activists' attempts to prohibit bear baiting and inhumane bear traps in Maine. Edition limited to 1 copy, signed by the artist. Title from bookseller's advertisement.
