Unbound pages are enclosed in a cloth-covered wrapper with printed spine; all inserted in a slipcase as issued. "Abracadabra is a book about magic. Not the illusory trickery of a conjuror, but the magic of an artist's work ... [Pfeiffer] developed a series of pages based on the characters which spell out the word Abracadabra. In order to embrace the illusionary realm with which the word is associated, [he] mounted the pages into three Flexagon structures; they magically appear and disappear by simply folding and flexing a piece of paper"--Exhibition catalog, p. 59.
