The text is derived from the musical directives and silent librettos which accompanied his scores"--Colophon. "The story in this book comes from The march of the grand staircase, composed by Erik Satie in 1914"--Notes, inside the case. Limited edition of 100 copies. Letterpress printed cut card panels attached to concertinas on both sides creating two spines. Pages are cut in layers to resemble a staircase and open from the center in the fashion of french doors.
