@article{EdytheE.Hardtmayer'33-photographalbum:6030, note = {This album documents Edythe E. Hardtmayer’s freshman through senior years at Skidmore College, as well as six years post-graduation. It is comprised primarily of photographs, and extensive coverage is given to her Outing Club activities, especially time at Skidirondack as well as Pine Log Camp, Lake Luzerne, NY, where she also worked as a counselor in 1935 and 1936. May Day festivities are also well documented, and some of the images of the downtown campus provide context to the interplay of buildings in student life. Additionally, the album documents an extended road trip (1937) she undertook with her family, traveling through Texas, Mexico, California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota. (Numerous postcards from the same fill in any gaps.) Images from her first Reunion (1938) and the World’s Fair (1939) in New York round out the album. Edythe was an avid photographer, as evidenced by the number of images in this album, and, in the many depictions of her where she can be seen holding a Kodak box camera at her side.}, author = {Hardtmayer, Edythe E.
