N1 - Attendees at Skidmore Camp were divided into two teams – “Picks” and “Pies” – and once picked for either team, campers would wear the symbol of each stitched onto various items of clothing, which were worn during competition (see “Skidmore Camp, 1922-1929,” p.25 recto; “Skidmore Camp, 1930-1945,” pp.14 recto and 20 recto; “Skidmore Camp, 1946-1959,” pp.24 verso and 32 recto for examples). This patch, stitched with the symbols of both the Pick and Pi teams, appears to be a commemorative item created by a student who attended the camp.
